Arco da Vila

Located at one of the entrances to the walled enclosure, it was built by D. Francisco Gomes do Avelar (Bishop of the Algarve) and designed by the Genoese architect Francisco Xavier Fabri at the beginning of the 19th century.

From this small roof terrace located on the city wall, we have a view of Vila Adentro, making us feel part of the city's ancient history!
