No início do seu percurso profissional criou e implementou soluções inovadoras e sustentáveis para a indústria da construção em Portugal. Posteriormente foi convidada pela Comissão Europeia para desenvolver legislação na área da eficiência energética, smart cities sustentáveis e inovação. É a curadora da “THNK School of Creative Leadership” em Lisboa. No sector público foi convidada a definir a estratégia e a dirigir a Agência de Energia e Ambiente de Lisboa. É co-fundadora da “Sustainable Construction Initiative” e coordenou a “Sustainable Construction Living Lab”, uma plataforma que agrega vários agentes da indústria da construção, incluindo o consumidor final, com o objetivo de promover a construção sustentável em Portugal. Publica artigos e promove workshops no campo da construção sustentável, incluindo na área dos living rooftops.

Her professional path began with prototyping and implementing innovative sustainable construction in Portugal. Later she was invited to work with the European Commission on energy efficiency legislation, sustainable smart cities, and design leadership and innovation. Lívia is the curator of the “THNK School of Creative Leadership” in Lisbon. In the public sector she was invited to design the strategy and run the Lisbon Energy and Environment Agency. She also co-founded the “Sustainable Construction Initiative” and launched and coordinated the “Sustainable Construction Living Lab”, a platform to engage relevant construction industry stakeholders, including the end user, to promote sustainable construction and urban resilience in Portugal. She writes, publishes articles, and promotes workshops on sustainable construction, including on the topic of Living Rooftops.
