Even before he could write, he would dictate poems that his mum quickly scribbled down on the first blank sheet of paper she found. Those moments of inspiration have stayed with him to this day and are still the spark that ignites his artistic creation.
In his sleeping pop, Masena found the harmony that inevitably became a creative and expressive need, a way of crystallising emotions and moments for posterity. This "extension of a state of mind" justifies the personal nature of her lyrics.

Zé "Masena" Santos, 27, from Mortágua, made his solo musical project official in may 2020 with the release of his first EP "Arrebol". Since then, he has independently published several works, releasing the album "Imersivo" in September 2021 and his second EP "Cedo Demais" in 2024, with the special participation of Luísa Levi, who kindly lent her voice on three of the six tracks that make up the work.
