"El Último Ciclista" (The Last Cyclist) is the musical project of Gabrulo García, a Montevideo native adopted from Galicia.

With an impulse, he plunged into creating songs in the evenings last year, and the first album of twelve Ibero-American indie pop songs emerged, giving the first pedal to this cycling adventure.

"Tomando este camino" (2023) was recorded in its entirety at Cruz del Sur studios, a few metres from the Balaidos stadium, with co-production by Sérgio M. Puga and then mixed in Madrid by Lucas Piedra Cueva, a brother in musical adventures for many years already.

To perform this repertoire live, the band brings together members from Santiago, A Coruña, Vigo and Ferrol. Julián Seijas on bass, Pablo Leira on guitar, Sergio M. Puga on drums and Ale González on keyboards.

Although the album has a classical sound and instrumentation, the songs wander between humour, melancholy, existentialism and fantasy. Harmonies and simple lyrics are the key to the language used to tell the story of everyday life.
