Carol Vieira
Carol is a singer-songwriter from Albufeira who has been exploring and experimenting with music since 2015.
In the early years, she dedicated herself entirely to the study of bossa nova, and simultaneously founded the Intimate Music Sessions, a project in Lisbon for live music sessions.
The composition emerged with the single "Onde Vais", at the beginning of 2020. At the end of the same year, she released the single "Mergulhar", a song by the singer and songwriter Tainá Mota. In 2021 she released the single "Se Ficares pra Ver", a song written in partnership with Marco Pombinho, a musician and composer.
In September 2022, she released her first album, "A Porta", and since then has been playing in various venues across the country.
Her songs are stories of affection, fear and courage and even when they speak of adversity, they always have a tender expression. Her music is a mixture of jazz, pop and world music.
For the festival, Carol comes accompanied by the guitarist and singer Carlos Sanches. Together they play and sing the songs that have marked her career, others that she has composed in the meantime and some by the singer from Chaves.
