GDM
Born in Goiânia, in the interior of Brazil, the rapper and singer GDM has had music in his daily life since childhood. However, it was in Portugal, in 2019, that Hip Hop radically changed his life.
Skilled in freestyle, GDM has made it his daily job, on the train and in the street, seeking inspiration for his songs in contact with those passing by. His work is divided between improvisation and his own music.
GDM is currently working on his first EP, due to be released in September 2024, after the release of 8 singles, in partnership with the producer Griot Lab.
Winner of the Novos Valores competition, he was the first brazilian artist to perform on the main stage of the Festa do Avante in 2021, accompanied by DJ Lord Ícaro.
In his CV, he already has numerous outstanding performances, having performed in March 2023 at the MONSTRA Animation Festival, and in the same year in partnership with FNAC Portugal, at the SUPER BOCK SUPER ROCK and MEO Sudoeste festivals. In 2024, he was invited to audition for the GOT TALENT PORTUGAL show, where he made it to the semi-finals.
For this edition of the Açoteia Faro Rooftop Festival, GDM has prepared a more intimate and cosy performance, but the beats and voice will continue to be the protagonists of the scene.
In a mix of songs already published, some unreleased tracks that will be part of his next EP, and the usual improvised interaction with the audience, the artist promises a unique experience.
